Few times you will find that your gadget options are disabled so as to enable the Windows Gadgets in Windows 7, following is the shortcut.
Goto Control Panel
Select "Program & Features"
In the left pane click "Turn Windows Feature on or off"
Wait to generate the list
To turn on the Feature, select its check box and to disable the feature the clear its check box.
So, to enable the Gadgets check the "Windows Gadget Platform" option
And its Done.
Go to Desktop, Right Click, your Gadgets option will be back if you have enabled it.
